Terms and Conditions

Preamble

The platform SynaptIQ Match offers a versatile technical service aimed at strengthening the community of highly and exceptionally gifted individuals on a professional level. It simplifies the presentation of professional and personal competencies, facilitates the offering and search for services, jobs, and professional exchanges, and thereby creates added value for all participants.

Additionally, the platform is open to other individuals who are interested in giftedness and consider it an additional criterion when selecting service providers or employees, alongside standard professional and job qualifications. This target group is enabled to publish job advertisements and benefit from their visibility within the network of gifted individuals.

A key concern of the platform is to highlight the giftedness of its members and make their potential visible. Access to membership represents a particular advantage, as information about giftedness is often not publicly available or is intentionally kept private. At the same time, other information—such as professional competencies and skills—is generally publicly accessible anyway and serves self-promotion purposes.

However, the platform is not merely a professional network. It also provides a space for group exchanges and the dissemination of ideas and media. As these contributions come from individuals with proven extraordinary cognitive abilities, a unique environment is created that fosters not only professional development but also the generation of innovative concepts and new approaches to thinking—well beyond the professional sphere.

It is therefore important that members only publish and share information they would also make public elsewhere. The platform serves as an interface for the targeted presentation of competencies and promotes exchange within the community.

As a private individual, I apply my knowledge in technology and security to the best of my ability to create a safe environment and to protect the privacy and interests of members. However, the use of the internet is associated with risks that I cannot entirely exclude. Every member is therefore encouraged to be aware of these risks and to handle the provided information responsibly.

The platform does not guarantee success in job placements, assignments, or contact connections. It serves as a supportive networking and exchange tool, the use of which is entirely voluntary.

Scope of Application

The following terms of use apply to the use and memberships of the SynaptIQ Match platform by customers/users of the website www.synaptiqmatch.com (hereinafter referred to as “Customer”).

SynaptIQ Match exclusively provides a technical service and is in no way contractually affiliated with recruiters or companies that create or publish job advertisements on the platform.

1) Purpose

The SynaptIQ Match platform is a technical service that:

Supports the networking of gifted individuals and recruiters to promote exchange on professional topics and create synergies.
Focuses on the professional world and career development.
Serves as a contact platform and discussion forum to enable dialogue in a protected, professional environment.
Allows members to present their professional profiles in a structured manner to highlight their skills and career goals.
Provides a secure space for exchanging ideas on topics such as giftedness, career planning, and professional interests.
The platform aims to provide its members with access to relevant contacts, discussions, and professional opportunities while safeguarding privacy and ensuring members retain control over the visibility of their content.

2) Target Audience and Eligibility Requirements

The platform is intended for:

Gifted and highly gifted individuals who can demonstrate their intellectual abilities with a verifiable IQ of at least 130 (or 145 for highly gifted individuals).
Employers, HR professionals, recruiters, and headhunters interested in candidates or service providers with exceptional cognitive abilities.

Age Restriction
The platform is exclusively available to adults aged 18 or older. By registering, users confirm that they are at least 18 years old and of legal age in their respective country.

Proof of Giftedness for MembershipsTo gain access to the platform as a gifted or highly gifted member, a recognized proof of intellectual abilities is required. Only a limited number of recognized tests and documents are accepted, which must include the following information:

. Einen Gesamt-IQ-Wert (mindestens 130 für Hochbegabte bzw. 145 für Höchstbegabte).
. Angaben zum Herausgeber des Tests (in der Regel ein Psychologe), einschließlich vollständigem Namen, Adresse und Unterschrift.

In exceptional cases, membership cards from associations for gifted or highly gifted individuals may be accepted if the admission criteria of these organizations are deemed sufficiently rigorous.

If there are doubts about the validity of a submitted proof, the platform reserves the right to temporarily suspend the profile and request a new proof. Additionally, the platform reserves the right to terminate memberships retroactively if there are reasonable doubts about the validity of the initially submitted proof. This includes cases where:
The scientific reliability of the test is questioned.
A broad scientific or professional consensus deems the test or its results inadequate.

Notice for Recruiters and Employers
These proof requirements apply solely to memberships for gifted and highly gifted individuals. Recruiters, employers, and other interested companies are not subject to these IQ-related conditions.

3) Responsibility, Information, and Content

SynaptIQ Match provides a technical service that allows members to freely express themselves and showcase their qualifications and interests. We promote diversity and freedom of expression on the platform and provide a space for constructive exchange between gifted users and interested recruiters or employers.

To ensure the quality of the network and provide all users with a positive experience, we strive to maintain basic standards of interaction, particularly during the application process. Inappropriate demands or behaviors that violate commonly accepted standards of fairness or courtesy can be reported. SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend profiles for reported or suspected violations.

Responsibility for Content and Moderation (see also Point 10)
The platform provides limited moderation. Each user is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their statements and content. While content is not routinely moderated, proven violations or substantiated suspicions of problematic content may result in measures to protect the network.

Qualifications and Skills Information
The qualifications, services, and skills listed in user profiles are not verified by SynaptIQ Match. Users are responsible for accurately presenting their competencies, particularly during the application process, where precision and reliability are crucial. Employers and recruiters must adhere to principles of fairness and transparency in their requirements and application processes.
Unacceptable demands, such as unethical tasks under §138 BGB or requests that constitute concealed free services, are prohibited and may lead to suspension if deemed inappropriate.

Limitations and Scientific Context
SynaptIQ Match provides explanations and information on topics such as IQ, intelligence, intelligence testing, and the historical development of these scientific concepts. Our goal is to offer factual, evidence-based representations that foster a basic understanding of these topics.

However, these explanations are not scientific publications but rather interpretations by the author intended primarily for general information and user orientation, partially written as marketing content. The information should not be considered a comprehensive scientific treatise and does not replace professional advice or scientific sources.

SynaptIQ Match does not claim psychological expertise and bases the selection criteria for giftedness and high giftedness on established statistical values generally recognized as valid. The set thresholds of IQ 130 and 145, while standard, are ultimately arbitrary and correspond to two and three standard deviations above the average, representing approximately the top 2% and 0.1% of the population, respectively.

Measuring intelligence alone does not guarantee professional success; it merely indicates above-average cognitive abilities. Common indices in widely used tests such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) include:

– Verbal comprehension (understanding and expressing language),
– Working memory (short-term storage and use of information),
– Perceptual reasoning (visual and spatial abilities),
– Processing speed (efficiency in performing simple cognitive tasks).

We consider these indices—verbal comprehension, working memory, perceptual reasoning, and processing speed—relevant to professional activities. Scientific studies have shown correlations between professional success and IQ scores, particularly in relation to these cognitive abilities. These indices are often indicators of skills needed in complex professional contexts, such as analytical thinking, strategic planning, and efficient information management.

Nonetheless, we emphasize that intelligence is only one of many factors influencing professional success. Should new scientific findings or consensus changes emerge in this field, we welcome updates to ensure our content reflects the latest research.

SynaptIQ Match is only liable for the accuracy of its information regarding prices, memberships, and similar matters. We encourage customers to report any discrepancies so we can correct them.

The site is available in multiple languages. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy or quality of translations. Our goal is merely to make the platform accessible to a broader user base and enhance their experience. Please note that translation differences may lead to misunderstandings or inaccuracies.

The website may contain links to external sites. SynaptIQ Match is not responsible for the content of these sites, which remains the responsibility of their owners. At the time of linking, no illegal content was identified. Should you notice any violations or discrepancies, please inform us immediately so we can remove the link.

Interactions, applications, or data exchanges outside the platform—via other portals or directly between members or companies—are beyond our responsibility. We strongly advise members to exercise caution when exchanging personal data or contacts outside the platform.

Members are required to promptly report any misuse of the platform or malicious intentions by other members. The operators reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete accounts without prior notice or explanation for violations.

Certain professions, such as doctors, architects, lawyers, or tax consultants, are subject to specific legal regulations and professional guidelines. Each user is responsible for ensuring compliance with these regulations when using the platform and collaborating with other members. In particular, users in these professions must adhere to the terms of use for comments and posts outlined in Point 10 of the terms and conditions. SynaptIQ Match assumes no responsibility for violations of such regulations and recommends seeking legal advice in case of uncertainty.

4) Price and Membership Fees

Memberships for gifted individuals are initially free of charge; however, we reserve the right to change this policy, especially in the event of financial challenges. Users are initially invited to make voluntary donations.
Prices for recruiters are competitive compared to other common recruitment platforms and reflect the significant costs involved in conducting assessments.
We also reserve the right to restrict certain features to selected members. These restrictions may be based, for example, on scores or offered for an additional fee.

5) Registration and Personal Information

The platform is exclusively for adults. To register, only a name (or pseudonym) and an email address are required. As such, the website is not intended for minors. By registering, users confirm that they are of legal age in their country of residence or are acting with the consent of their guardians.

For paid memberships or services, providing a billing address may be required.

We recommend users exercise caution when sharing personal information during job searches or when uploading resumes, as these data may be accessible to all members. The platform provides features allowing communication between members or between recruiters and candidates through the site, without the need for additional personal information.

Identification and Protection Against Identity Misuse

Verification documents submitted as part of tests or memberships also serve as proof of the user’s identity. Identity misuse, such as the deliberate use of another person’s identity, is punishable by law.

We ask all members to avoid situations that could lead to confusion or doubts about their identity. This also applies to the use of names associated with brands, companies, authors, public figures, or private individuals.

In cases of substantiated suspicion of identity misuse or deception, we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently suspend or delete the account in question in accordance with our terms and conditions. This may result in the loss or permanent suspension of all associated data.

6) Data Processing

Credit card and account information is neither processed nor stored and is not made accessible to third parties. All data is SSL encrypted and password protected. For detailed information, please refer to section 12 on privacy policies.

SynaptIQ Match uses all its technical expertise to protect data. As 100% security can never be guaranteed online, we ask users not to exchange sensitive data, such as personal information or bank details, with third parties. Only data and documents relevant to the site’s purpose or members’ recruitment goals may be shared and exchanged on the platform.

SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to delete uploaded files and information at any time due to storage space limitations. Members do not own the storage space and cannot expect or demand any warranty for stored personal files from SynaptIQ Match.

Processing Times and Alternative Support

Due to limited capacity, processing times for requests may vary significantly. This includes membership confirmations, reports, technical inquiries, or other concerns. We ask for patience and understanding.

For urgent questions or concerns, we recommend contacting other members through groups or private messages when possible. This way, answers or assistance may be found faster within the community.

7) Delivery of Services/Products

Many digital products, such as podcasts, streaming content, or downloads, are made available to customers immediately after payment. A customer account is required, as products can be downloaded directly via the order history.

Products like tickets for museums, shows, concerts, exams, or language courses are tied to specific event dates. In such cases, the event’s start date serves as the delivery deadline. Please note that some tickets may only be issued or handed over on the day of the event.

The responsibility for providing digital content (e.g., MP3 podcasts, PDF or EPUB eBooks) lies with SynaptIQ Match. However, customers are responsible for ensuring the necessary technical requirements to download, play, or view the content on their devices.

Special Provisions for Events and Services

For events scheduled on a specific date or time, rights transfer (e.g., ticket usage) occurs at the start of the event. Until then, these rights remain with the original rights holder.
For language courses or exams, customers engage directly with the event organizer. If issues arise with the organizer, customers should inform SynaptIQ Match promptly for support.
Delivery Methods and Liability

SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to select the delivery method (e.g., email, post, registered mail, etc.) and may require an alternative delivery address if necessary.
If an organizer is unable to deliver on time, SynaptIQ Match will endeavor to arrange suitable replacements, such as alternative tickets. If this is not possible, a refund will be issued.

8) Right of Withdrawal

For digital goods such as downloads, podcasts, or eBooks made available immediately after purchase, the right of withdrawal does not apply in accordance with § 356 Para. 5 BGB, as these products, due to their nature, are not suitable for return.

For physical goods such as T-shirts or mugs that are neither custom-made nor tied to a specific date, a withdrawal period of 14 days from the receipt of the goods applies. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must notify SynaptIQ Match in writing of their intent. The customer bears the return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.

Products or services related to leisure activities (e.g., event tickets) are excluded from the right of withdrawal under § 312g Para. 2 No. 9 BGB if they are for a specific date or period.

9) Cancellation, Return, Refund

Return of Goods

For physical goods like T-shirts, mugs, or similar items that are not custom-made or tied to a specific date, a return period of 14 days from receipt of the goods applies, provided a right of withdrawal has been granted.

Withdrawal Declaration:
The withdrawal must be submitted in writing to SynaptIQ Match within the stipulated period, either by email or letter.
Condition of Goods:
Items must be returned undamaged and in their original condition. Any damage or wear may lead to deductions from the refund amount.
Return Shipping Costs:
The customer bears the return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
Once the returned goods are received and inspected, the purchase price will be refunded. Refunds are typically made via bank transfer to the customer’s provided account. SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to use alternative payment methods, such as PayPal, if deemed appropriate for both parties.

Special Provisions for Digital Goods and Events

Digital Goods:
For digital goods (e.g., downloads, podcasts, eBooks) provided immediately after purchase, the right of withdrawal is excluded under § 356 Para. 5 BGB.
Leisure Activities:
Products or services related to leisure activities (e.g., event tickets) tied to a specific date or period are excluded from the right of withdrawal under § 312g Para. 2 No. 9 BGB.
Refunds for Event Cancellations or Postponements
In cases of cancellations, postponements, or contractual violations by the organizer, the customer may claim a refund of the original price. SynaptIQ Match will assist the customer free of charge, provided the necessary documents and information (e.g., tickets, bank account details) are submitted in a timely manner.

Refunds will be issued exclusively via bank transfer or an alternative method like PayPal, depending on the agreement with the customer. The processing time depends on the organizer’s resolution.

Exclusion of Refunds for Fully Rendered Services
Services that have been correctly and fully rendered (e.g., ticket delivery or enrollment in language courses) are excluded from refunds.

10) Use and Moderation of Comments

The website www.synaptiqmatch.com provides a comment feature that is not moderated by SynaptIQ Match.
Relevance:
Comments must be relevant to the product/service.
Responsibility:
Comment authors are solely responsible for the content they provide. SynaptIQ Match assumes no liability for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of user-submitted content. Use of such content is at the reader’s own risk.
This feature must not be used to transmit illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, inflammatory, pornographic, inciting, or discriminatory material; infringe on privacy rights or image rights; or post comments that encourage behavior that could be deemed criminal or lead to legal liability.
Users are strongly encouraged to report violations of these terms. SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to delete any comment and/or pursue legal action against its author.

Forums or exchange platforms for reviews, discussions, or file sharing may be available on the domain or subdomains. Authors are fully liable for their contributions, provided liability conditions are met. Breaches of criminal laws may lead to civil claims under § 823 Para. 2 BGB.

Forums are intended for professional tips, job searches, application processes, international exchanges, or other minor topics. They are not meant for debates about critical life, financial, or medical decisions. SynaptIQ Match does not provide legal advice, particularly in medical or financial areas. The platform’s provisions are solely educational.
Users are prohibited from providing answers to critical questions (e.g., legal or medical decisions), even if qualified or considered experts. Liability for such answers falls under § 675 Para. 2 BGB. Users are encouraged to use alternative channels to share expert knowledge.

Comments, questions, and responses are not immediately moderated. This ensures freedom of speech per German constitutional law while holding authors liable for their content. SynaptIQ Match strives to fulfill its responsibilities under § 10 TMG through guidelines, reporting, and manual checks.

The website does not have the technical means to automatically detect and systematically ban illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, inflammatory, pornographic, inciting, or discriminatory material, as well as violations of privacy or copyright, using artificial intelligence. In this context, every user must understand that using the platform carries the risk of being confronted with such content and that it is their responsibility to report such content promptly and systematically. Users are obligated to report violations of these guidelines immediately to info@synaptiqmatch.com, including a detailed description and, if possible, evidence. Repeated or serious violations may result in the permanent suspension of the account.
Due to technical limitations, there may be delays or gaps in the moderation or processing of reported content. SynaptIQ Match strives to address such incidents as quickly as possible but assumes no liability for any delays.

The forum and activities on subdomains are not designed for commercial transactions and may not be used by users for commercial purposes. The creation and sharing of content such as résumés, portfolios, descriptions, and skills for self-promotion are explicitly permitted. However, any form of advertising directly targeting transactional activities – including promotional content, affiliate links, or spam – is strictly prohibited without the explicit consent of SynaptIQ Match.

SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to immediately suspend or ban users who use the platform for commercial purposes without explicit consent. Comments and posts may remain stored even after a user account has been deleted to comply with legal evidence or regulatory requirements. However, personal data associated with the comments will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

The platform is committed to protecting and promoting an educated and inclusive community.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a user’s membership without compensation, especially if actions come to our attention that:

. Den humanistischen Werten der Plattform widersprechen,

. Das Streben nach Inklusion und Förderung der Intelligenz, insbesondere im Sinne der Hochbegabung, untergraben,

14) Changes to the Terms and Conditions and Services

SynaptIQ Match reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions as well as the services offered as needed, for example, to meet legal, technical, or business requirements or to improve user-friendliness. Such changes will be communicated to members in advance of their effective date, either via email to the registered address or through an announcement on the platform.

Members have the right to object within 14 days after the notification of the changes. An objection may lead to the termination of the membership if continued use under the modified conditions is not possible. If no objection is raised, the changes will be deemed accepted.

SynaptIQ Match commits to transparently and understandably communicating significant changes that substantially affect the use of the services in order to best protect the interests of the members.

15) Place of Fulfillment

(1) Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the place of fulfillment and payment is our registered office. If the customer is not a merchant, the statutory provisions regarding jurisdiction – subject to the provisions in paragraph (2) – remain unaffected.

(2) For any disputes related to or arising from services provided by SynaptIQ Match in relation to accommodation contracts – including merely initiated contractual relationships – the courts of the Federal Republic of Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction, both nationally and internationally, if the customer is a merchant or another person without consumer status. In this case, only the courts located in the judicial district of Düsseldorf shall have local jurisdiction. However, it is at our discretion to file claims against the customer, who is a merchant or another person without consumer status, at their place of business. The aforementioned also applies to other customers, with the stipulation that the customer retains the right to appeal to courts other than those listed in Section 4 of EC Regulation No. 44/2001.

(3) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany (hereinafter: “BRD”) shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the provisions of German international private law. This also applies in cases where the customer does not have their usual place of residence in the BRD, provided that the application of German law does not override local provisions in the customer’s place of residence that aim to protect them and cannot be waived by agreement under the local law.

(4) In case of any ambiguities, inconsistencies, or contradictions between the German version of the Terms and Conditions and any existing translations in other languages, the German version shall prevail.

(5) Should individual provisions or parts of these Terms and Conditions between SynaptIQ Match and the customer, which are incorporated by reference into the respective contract, be or become invalid for reasons other than those of Sections 305 – 310 BGB, the validity of the remaining provisions or parts thereof shall remain unaffected. In such cases, SynaptIQ Match and the customer are obligated to cooperate in creating a new regulation that comes as close as possible to the economic intent of the affected provisions or parts thereof. The same applies in the event of contractual gaps that need to be filled. Section 306 BGB remains unaffected.

16) Severability Clause
